Matthias grew up in Chicago, IL and began playing his Fender Telecaster at the age of thirteen.  His music has been influenced by a large array of artists some of which include Beck, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Austin Applegate
guitar

Austin was born in Dallas, TX and grew up in Providence, RI.  He began playing guitar at 14 and has graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in music.  He has been influenced by Maceo Parker, James Brown, Wes Montegomery, Tom Morello, and John Scofield.

Sarah Schachner
organ and keyboard

Sarah Schachner is from Philadelphia, Pa.  She mostly plays B3 and her influences include Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff, Michel Camilo, Soulive, The Sugarman Three, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and Outkast.

Kevin Mills
bass

Kevin was born and raised in New York City.  He has been playing upright bass and bass guitar for 12 years.  His musical influences include the genres of jazz, reggae, hip-hop, ska, classical and now that of the Groove Components.

Sean Marchetti
drums

Sean was born in Westchester, New York.  He began playing the drums at age 10 in a school band and has continued to study ever since.  He has been influenced by a variety of artists and groups including Max Roach, Adam  Deitch, Soulive, Johnny Raab, and Stewart Copeland.
